Position Summary:

The Total Rewards Analyst is responsible for analyzing and evaluating employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings. This role will provide expertise in benefits administration and compliance, ensuring the company's benefits programs are competitive, cost-effective, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing employees' leave of absence from start to finish, including working with the leave vendor and payroll partners.
  • Responsible for issue resolution in response to employees' questions and issues pertaining to the company's total reward plans.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee wellness offerings.
  • Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants.
  • Conduct research and participate in surveys and analysis to assess the competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of the company's benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as HR, Finance, and Legal, to ensure effective benefits program administration and communication.
  • Responsible for the annual Open Enrollment process and related communications.
  • Lead the annual 401(k) 5500 audit with outside auditor and 401(k) plan administrator.
  • Stay informed about changes and developments in the benefits field, including legislation and industry trends, and recommend appropriate actions to maintain compliance and competitiveness.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • A bachelor's degree or professional certifications are a plus, as is 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on health and welfare and 401(k) plans.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits regulations, such as ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and COBRA.
  • Experience with benefits plan design, including cost analysis and benchmarking.
  • Proficiency in benefits administration and vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
