Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the insurance industry with existing retail agent / broker relationships.

Essential Functions:

  • Business development with wholesale brokers in a defined territory.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies for both existing and prospective customer base.
  • Developing new and fostering existing relationships with retail insurance producers to develop submission and quote activity.
  • Assist with development of a comprehensive marketing plan to facilitate current business growth initiatives and execute the plan.
  • Analyzing market trends to evaluate, develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed organizational goals.
  • Work in unison with our Production team leaders in developing new and enhancing existing retail insurance agent / broker relationships. 
  • Assist retail agents / brokers with connecting to the proper RT / RSG divisions based on customer needs. 
  • Assist with / handle customer complaints and solve customer problems accordingly. 
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager or office president(s).

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology or Business is preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess strong computer/technology/systems skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills are required.
  • Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Critical attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Proven track record of being a team player.
  • May be required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be open to significant business travel as determined by the needs of the business.

The target salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
