Risk Associate, Geotechnical Engineer

Position Summary:
The Geotechnical Engineer will work collaboratively with the underwriting team to analyze risk exposure. This is a unique opportunity to enter the Property Insurance Industry with the ability to transfer into different positions.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze Geotechnical Reports as respects risk exposure to property
- Examine Gantt Charts (construction timelines) with ability to identify key construction milestones
- Review Construction Drawings in order to determine construction type and other features related to the project scope
- Utilize Google Earth in order to complete site analysis
Education/Experience/Skills:
- 0-1 years of experience in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Reports
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Emphasis
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Google Earth experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal accomplishment
