Risk Associate, Geotechnical Engineer

Position Summary:

The Geotechnical Engineer will work collaboratively with the underwriting team to analyze risk exposure. This is a unique opportunity to enter the Property Insurance Industry with the ability to transfer into different positions.

Essential Functions:

• Analyze Geotechnical Reports as respects risk exposure to property
• Examine Gantt Charts (construction timelines) with ability to identify key construction milestones
• Review Construction Drawings in order to determine construction type and other features related to the project scope
• Utilize Google Earth in order to complete site analysis

Education/Experience/Skills:

• 0-1 years of experience in Civil Engineering/Geotechnical Reports
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Emphasis
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
• Google Earth experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to take initiative, guide, and influence others toward goal accomplishment
