RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty Group is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Bellvue, Washington team. Position Summary:

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will provide first-level support for all incoming requests to the IT Department. The position will be responsible for fielding requests, inquiries, questions, and projects, auditing these items for level of importance/priority, identifying the most suitable resources to dedicate to the task, and working with the Development Team Leader to funnel the tasks to the appropriate IT staff members. The Software Quality Assurance Analyst will also be responsible for the testing of all internal and external applications before they are released.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide first level support on all incoming requests.
  • Create documentation on all bug requests that will contain reproducible steps of a problem.
  • Collect reportable data on the scope of the bug request.
  • Design and executive test plans on computer applications.
  • Record and document results and compare to expected results.
  • Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
  • Generate historical analysis of test results. Document anomalies and issues.
  • Maintain database of software defects.
  • Examine code and execution of code in various environments.
  • Verify specific action or function of code.
  • Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements/technical specifications.
  • Ensure data integrity standards.
  • Assist in gathering info on processes, applications, and procedures as needed.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Development Team Leader and/or IT Manager.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in related field or a minimum of 3 years, directly related experience in the field.
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal employees and external vendors or customers.
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality with the ability to handle sensitive material concerning employees, the company, customers and our business.
  • Must have strong attention to detail when dealing with complex projects or tasks
  • Ability to meet designated deadlines with strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Proven track record of being a team player.
  • May be required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
