Position Summary:

Key focus on assisting in the development of the RSG CANADA portfolio with a specific emphasis on COW and Property and other GSR product offerings. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of portfolio management, including: solicitation of new business submissions and renewals, underwriting analysis, preparing and issuing indications/quotations/binders, providing interim service on bound accounts, participation in the self-audit process, and marketing.  Additional experience in other lines of business a plus but not required.

Essential Functions:

  • Processing of accounts including detailed review of application/underwriting file, data entry for each account
  • Processes new business applications, renewals, cancellations, endorsements and other policy transactions
  • Provide customer service and support efforts to acquire and retain profitable business
  • Process correspondence, forms, proposals, invoices, reports, etc.
  • Pricing: Analyze current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Ability to assess inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to OEE & Property
  • Portfolio Management: Manage the underwriting books. Analyze loss trends and develop sound underwriting strategies.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager



  • Bachelor’s Degree, Risk Management a plus
  • 2- 5 years’ experience in Insurance either carrier or agent
  • Underwriting, analyzing and generating new and renewal business
  • In-depth knowledge of the marketplace & broker relationships
  • Property, OEE, and Casualty underwriting experience
  • Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis, and win-win negotiating
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • IT skills (Office applications): Use general office application tools e.g. Power Point, Excel, Word.
