Position Summary:

The Regulatory & Compliance Associate (“Associate”) supports the Director of Regulatory & Compliance, Operations, and the Regulatory & Compliance department in all matters of developing, managing, deploying and ongoing enhancement of RSG’s Regulatory & Compliance Framework (“Framework”).   One of the primary goals of RSG’s Framework is to control the risk of legal and regulatory violations and to ensure that RSG's activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and standards. 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for working with internal and external teams providing support and responding to questions on various compliance topics
  • Responsible for coordinating regulatory & compliance DOI inquiries and industry complaints to ensure timely and complete responses
  • Research and provide support documentation gathered from various systems to support DOI inquires
  • Review and obtain exception requests for gifts & entertainment expenses 
  • Review records for sanctions and enhanced due diligence reviews for Know Your Customer (KYC)
  • Respond to Lloyd’s annual compliance reviews for RSG and manage Lloyd’s Coverholder information in the Atlas system
  • Research and provide responses and documentation for third party audits
  • Maintain and enhance the Regulatory & Compliance internal and external SharePoint site
  • Maintain trackers for gifts and entertainment, foreign transactions, and complaints handling processing and store reference documentation and requests

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required; insurance experience preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across business units.
  • Ability to apply independently in a cohesive team.
  • Problem-solving skills that demonstrate ability to critically evaluate and analyze issues and recommend well thought-out and/or creative solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to find creative solutions on diverse matters requiring complex legal and strategic analysis.
  • Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Manager or other Associates
  • Ability to apply independent, critical thinking but also to follow instructions and take direction
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Critical attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Proven track record of being a team player.

The target salary range for this position is $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
