Position Summary:

The newly created Director of Business Solutions will be a key role in the positioning of RT Connector as the premier solution for digitalized insurance capacity in the US wholesale market. The Director of Business Solutions will be a multi-faceted role but will have a strong emphasis on the customer digital experience as it relates to maximizing revenue opportunities for RT Connector, including product delivery, Connector training, client & carrier stewardship and execution of various platform solutions. This position will build lasting relationships with trading partners through collaboration with various teams at RT Specialty, and will provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years prior experience in the insurance industry, part of which should be in the Insurtech space, either at an MGU, broker or carrier. Candidate will possess marketplace knowledge of the Insurtech distribution space, wholesale broking model and product delivery models.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist CUO with the success and cultivation of digital channel opportunities, by assessing the strategic partnership potential and analyzing key statistical measures.
  • Solicit & organize stakeholder feedback; identify areas of improvement for the RT Connector platform as it relates to maximizing revenue. Assist in the development & execution of impactful measures to improve RT Connector user experience in this context.
  • Collaborate with sales and RT Connector support teams to assist understand and disseminate client feedback, act as key escalation point for any workflow & operational issues, at a portfolio level, that arise from existing retail clients and RT.
  • Act as a key resource to train & educate retail clients and RT Specialty stakeholders, through webinars, demos and onsite visits as needed.  
  • Work at the direction of CUO to support carrier projects, as and when needed. 
  • Create relationships and collaborate with other Ryan Specialty departments as needed, such as RT Finance, Premium Accounting and Surplus Lines.
  • Work with RT corporate marketing team in the maintenance of platform content, internal and external. Ensure RT Specialty & retail agents have complete and up to date information, including new products, platform enhancements, training materials and periodic strategy updates.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the platform and product offerings.
  • Develop & maintain a thorough understanding of how RT Connector operates with key systems like Concept One, AIM, Image Right and Agency Onboarding. 
  • Ensure RT Specialty & retail agents have complete and up to date information, including new products, platform enhancements, training materials and periodic strategy updates.
  • Communicate any client concerns or issues to leadership and recommend and assist in 

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of insurance industry experience.
  • Willing to travel as needed 
  • PPT and Excel skills at intermediate + level
  • Highly self-motivated and able to manage day to day tasks 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-moving company environment
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Team player and with a problem-solving aptitude
