Position Summary:

RSG is excited to announce our Virtual Internship Program for 2021, which will take place this summer between June 7 - July 23, 2021.  This virtual internship experience will provide a best in class virtual learning opportunity for interns interested in pursuing careers in insurance and risk management.  This seven week program will provide access to some of the industry’s top producers and underwriters who will share their experiences, insights and knowledge.  The program will offer an opportunity to learn more about the insurance market, specialty lines, wholesale brokerage and underwriting in both binding authority and as part of an Managing General Underwriter.  The internship will include group work, project based assignments, online training and sessions on a number of topics that are intended to help interns become exposed to the tremendous opportunities in the industry. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Project based role surrounding the maintenance of files ensuring accuracy and complete client records. 
  • Collaborate with their department to resolve documentation issues. 
  • Monitor sanctions checking software to provide timely and accurate auditing. 
  • Additional duties to support their department as needed. 

Education/Experience/Skills:

 

  • Looking for students graduating no later than spring 2022.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally and to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Effective customer service skills.
  • Proficient use of applicable technology (Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability to work in team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Analyst and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Manager or other Associates.
  • Ability to apply independent, critical thinking but also to follow instructions and take direction.
