Position Summary:

The Senior Accountant, Equity and Reporting will be a core member of our Controllership team and will be primarily focused on the accounting and reporting of equity based transactions and assisting with the preparation of various SEC reporting requirements. The position requires a high level of collaboration, working cross-functionally with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and external partners to ensure sound compliance and reporting. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting and will work closely with the Controllership Accounting and Reporting team.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely accounting and related financial reporting for multiple types of equity related transactions, including equity based compensation
  • Assist in developing and maintaining proper documentation of equity-related policies, procedures and controls
  • Serve as primary Controllership contact for equity related audit requests and SOX requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to the equity reporting cycle
  • Participate in the preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10-K), current reports (8-K) and other SEC filings
  • Support the preparation of the earnings per share calculation
  • Assist with technical accounting research as required
  • Assist with special projects and transactions as assigned
     

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting 
  • CPA required 
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience 
  • Public accounting experience is preferred 
  • Understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC disclosure and reporting requirements
  • Experience with stock compensation accounting under ASC 718, Stock Compensation preferred
  • Experience with different equity award types and plans preferred
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and internal/external partners
