Position Summary:

The Senior Associate, Accounting/Financial Reporting will assist in supporting the GAAP accounting requirements though financial reporting and analysis.

Essential Functions:

  • Build, review, and maintain financial reporting over the segment’s operations, including but not limited to compensation, operating expenses, and allocations 
  • Prepare and/or review income statements, variance analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations for consumption by senior business leaders and Corporate Controllership
  • Prepare and review journal entries in assigned areas
  • Ensure financial reporting processes are designed and functioning effectively in accordance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Perform and present special projects or analysis to company leadership as needed
  • Contribute to internal control framework as control owner over segment’s accounting processes, including development of additional controls as needs are identified
  • Review the work of associates and provide formal and informal feedback necessary for their development
  • Work effectively with other teams (e.g. HR, IT, Treasury) to develop report improvements and drive automation efforts
  • Assist in preparation and tracking of annual budget and financial forecasts, including expense analysis
  • Assist with due diligence and integration planning on potential and successful acquisitions
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • CPA
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting / Financial Reporting Role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles (including ASC 606) and internal control framework
  • Experience in preparation or detailed review of financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience in public accounting is preferred
