Position Summary:

The Treasury, Senior Financial Analyst position oversees RSG’s operational and strategic projects by developing cash management banking solutions for all business segments of the company and supporting the cash forecasting modeling process. S/he will perform daily analyses and reporting to facilitate global management of cash operations and financial risk. 

Essential Functions:
  • Prepare cash forecasts during the annual budgeting process for both domestic and international business units
  • Produce cash flow statements given a P&L and B/S
  • Act as primary financial modeler with the company’s consolidation system, Oracle HFM
  • Approve banking payments, templates, and act as a backfill to the Treasury operations analysts 
  • Coordinate the implementation of system solutions that meet the needs of the Company by:
    • Gathering information and business requirements, conducting research and staying on top of business and information technology industry trends
    • Analyzing business needs
    • Developing requirements
    • Coordinating the development of procedures, training and other communications
  • Support the Company’s Acquisition activities by:
    • Taking the lead in performing initial financial analysis on M&A targets
    • Assisting with financial due diligence
    • Populating valuation models used to support investment decisions
    • Creating decks for presentation to senior management in its evaluation of the opportunities
  • Routinely supply the Treasurer & Assistant Treasurer with information, status, and metrics regarding business unit performance
  • Develop financial models used to drive capital structure decision making and ensure compliance with financial covenants
  • Assist management with capital raises
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics 
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS (revenue recognition criteria, contingent liabilities, etc.)
  • Experience working in Information Systems (Knowledge of MS Access / Sequel +) or strong desire to learn
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Public Accounting, or Consulting highly desirable
  • CPA or CPA eligible a strong plus
  • CFA Candidacy a strong plus
  • Strong PC literacy with the Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with large data models and able to optimize and summarize information
  • Able to create stored procedures and macros within excel (or desire to learn)
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines
  • Proactive and positive team member who is self-motivated to achieve all goals 
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
  • Must be able to work in a ‘Startup’ type atmosphere
  • Excellent attention-to-detail capabilities to assure complete reporting accuracy
