Position Summary:

The Director of Binding Operations and Support is responsible for the operational leadership of the RT Binding Authority Shared Services Support teams – Policy Issuance and Technical Services Department (TSD). This role demands a commitment to process and service to ensure these departments are acting in a best-in-class manner. These teams act as the backbone to RT’s rapidly expanding binding practice – which has a national presence and is aggressively growing through hiring and M&A activity.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure all RT binding authority policies are issued within carrier guidelines including timing restraints, aggregation limits, and procedural requirements.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and management of the existing Binding support staff.
  • Work to consolidate vendors and providers related to centralized services.
  • Create and implement targets for service and responsiveness standards (SLA’s).
  • Documentation of SOP’s for all services provided.
  • Standardize methods for receiving and managing tasks.
  • Create reporting and monitoring tools for services provided to measure against SLA’s to ensure employee productivity.
  • Liaise with various RT/RSG departments on a variety of projects and initiatives, including but not limited to:
  • Acting as a major stakeholder in the selection, development, and implementation of RT’s new binding agency management system.
  • Participate in operational reviews of current processes and procedures, recommending automation and/or process redesign where appropriate.
  • Partnering with various RT underwriters, producers, and Binding leadership to standardize and centralize tasks that encourage continued revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Interacting with RT carriers, markets, and clients to seek out automation opportunities.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelors degree from a creditied college/university.
  • 10+ years experience.
  • Process design and workflow development.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Personnel management and development.
  • Understanding of wholesale/MGA insurance operations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a highly automated, paperless environment, including specialized software packages.
