RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty Group is looking for an Operation Supervisor to join our Los Angeles, CA office. We are a fast paced, energetic and rapidly growing organization that offers a great opportunity for someone interested in further developing their career.

Position Summary:

The RT Specialty Operations Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Workers Compensation teams with servicing policies from inception to renewal. Additionally, they will supervise our team of Production Associates, as well as our receptionists and Administrative Assistants.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the workflow of the department. 
  • Holds team accountable to ensure emails and tasks are handled in a timely manner according to the workflow schedule.
  • Provides direction and support for complicated tasks and requests.
  • Prepare documents, spreadsheets and other items at the request of management.
  • Responsible for policy change requests and assistance with payment issues/questions.
  • Follow up with clients and underwriters, as needed, for necessary information.
  • Responsible for maintaining document filing in all required systems and also reviews policies for errors.
  • Works to provide necessary assistance with Final Audit disputes.
  • Provide timely communication regarding issues that impact broker teams on an as needed basis. 
  • Responsible for managing team coverage and approves time off requests.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must hold a valid CA P&C insurance license
  • At least 3-5 years of insurance experience in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Critical attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Proven track record of being a team player.
  • May be required to have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
