Position Summary:

The Data Reporting Analyst is responsible for assessing current practices, collects information and analyzes industry trends to determine organizational objectives. 

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze trends in sales, transactions, and losses at both a portfolio and carrier level basis
  • Collect insurance related data and extract insights from it to manage risks and optimize sales opportunities
  • Run monthly reports for the personal lines - digital business unit and its insurance carrier partners
  • Using predicted runs rates, closely monitor and inform management of utilized capacity limits compared with contractual capacity authority 
  • Work closely with the personal lines - digital business unit and IT platform teams to create, modify, and summarize data reports
  • Examine the accuracy of data, both in transactional detail and in aggregate, and assist them in correcting inaccuracies
  • Maintain and cleanse databases
  • Understand and own our business processes, and make recommendations for data management, error detection, quality control, process automation, or analytic methodologies
  • Create reports that are simple to comprehend. Present internal management and coworkers your analysis, ideas, progress, and results
  • Assist with developing detailed project plans to ensure that projects are finished on time
  • Ad-hoc reporting as requirement by internal management
  • Encourage a collaborative, high-performing culture
  • Continuously engage peer-review with coworkers to learn, teach, and ultimately deliver high-quality results


  • Associate degree in Business/Financial Services related discipline or equivalent technological background
  • Knowledge of database and data management best practices
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to recommend design changes to databases, applications, designs, and reports
  • Ability to work effectively within business intelligence tools, (eg, Cognos, Tableau), report development tools (eg, SSRS, Tableau) and data processing systems
  • Ability to interface with colleagues in multiple disciplines, including but not limited to property/casualty insurance, actuary, financial planning/analysis, audit, and information technology
