Position Summary:

Under general supervision within the Compliance Department, the Compliance Associate ensures that the agency documentation and materials comply with Ryan Specialty Group compliance requirements. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide timely communication with internal and external customers.
  • Monitoring and responding to incoming email through a centralized email account tracking contract addendums, ensuring that agreements and addendums are properly executed, and properly documenting files, responding to general insurance questions, completing and submitting contract support documents.
  • Assist in internal and regulatory audit inquiries and preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete provider and client records in all agency management systems.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to contract new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate, develop and propose procedures and policies that enhance relationships with providers, clients and other customers as needed.
  • Manage all agency and producer appointments with carrier partners.
  • Assist in integration of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist in operations of systems related to compliance.
  • Ability to manage ad-hoc reporting at any given time with minimal turnaround time.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field with a strong interest in learning about the insurance industry. Insurance Industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels including C Suite Executives of the organization, while maintaining and further developing strong business relationships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation.
  • Ability to apply independently in a cohesive team.
  • Proven ability to lead and see projects through completion.
  • Critical thinking and ability to grasp a larger picture from minor details.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic situations while maintaining day to day functions.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting, Tax and Finance Departments.
  • Willingness to travel 5%
