Irwin Siegel Agency, a division of Ryan Specialty Group Underwriting Managers, is looking for a Loss Control Coordinator to join our team in our Rock Hill, NY location. Position Summary:

The Loss Control Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Risk Management Department in providing loss control resources and information to broker and insured’s and to help identify trends to mitigate the potential of future loss. 

Essential Functions:

  • Research and respond to broker or insured’s correspondence, calls, inquiries regarding risk management/loss control issues and process requests for resources.
  • Responsible for reviewing accounts from a risk management/loss control perspective to develop a proactive plan in preventing or minimizing loss.  This include loss analysis to identify any trends and recommend loss control solutions and resources to mitigate the potential for further losses.
  • Act as a liaison between the insured and/or broker and the Risk Management Department with our carriers by assisting the insureds or brokers when they are unhappy with the service provided by a Loss Control Rep, or do not understand loss control recommendations.
  • Update and ensure the accuracy of Tech with regards to risk management/loss control data.
  • Oversee the video lending library and ensure videos are returned in the appropriate time frames.
  • Participate in provider associations based on your assigned states and provide field intelligence to the department for the development of resources, training, and marketing messaging.
  • Responsible for ordering surveys as requested by ISA Underwriters or our Carriers.
  • Manage pending surveys including updating account files and due dates in ISA systems and IAudit.
  • Review and process completed surveys, issue recommendation letters and follow up on recommendations to the point where it is turned over to the underwriter.
  • Coordinate with marketing and policy administration to ensure timely and relevant resources are highlighted on ISA’s website and issued with new/renewal policies.  
  • Assist with the training of new employees, and work cooperatively with other departments.


  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 3 years of relevant loss control experience.
  • Knowledge of Human Services field (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Customer service oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
