RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty Group is looking for a Business Automation System Administrator to join our team. Position Summary:

The Business Automation System Administrator within RT IT will play a critical role in supporting, documenting and implementing a wide variety of business process improvements focused on the RT Target Operating Model and the associated front-end line of business applications.  The BASA will collaborate primarily with RT IT Support teams, Business Analysts, Development teams, and business end-users to ensure effective and timely application support, troubleshooting, design, enhancements and automations.

Essential Functions:

  • Front-end application system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with Business Analysts to help document and scope automation projects and enhance functionality.
  • Provide technical BA documentation related to system interfaces and other third-party integrations.
  • Work closely with business end-users to understand errors or bugs and to create opportunities for increased process efficiency.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to disseminate knowledge to Tier 1 support and training resources along with other Tier 2 / Tier 3 business application administrators.
  • Interact with RT carriers related to housed rate and form implementation and troubleshooting throughout design, development, implementation, and production support.
  • Create documentation around the line of business application architecture and components.
  • Work with Infrastructure and Development teams to ensure continual growth and support of development environment, continually monitoring and managing performance and scalability.
  • Continually seek for solutions to increase operational efficiency, reduce keystrokes, and enhance data collection.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • 5+ years, preferably in E&S insurance, line of business system administration or support.
  • Strong command of experience with extracting and manipulating business data.
  • 5+ years database administration experience, preferably with Mongo DB.
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • 3+ years experience managing or accessing carrier rate and form environments.
  • 3+ years experience working with or around Agile software development teams (SCRUM), preferably involving the MEAN tech stack.
  • Critical attention to details and excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of being a team player.
